This morning, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake further devastated the already severely damaged infrastructure in Haiti. Last week’s quake had already taken a deadly toll from this island nation. With food, water and medical supplies falling short, ARMAC has made a $1,000 donation to help Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reach more survivors.
MSF has maintained a presence in Haiti for almost 20 years prior to the recent earthquake. They had 3 field hospitals in place, as well as, a network of support for their humanitarian efforts before the quakes hit. Despite damage incurred at their facilities and difficulty receiving supplies, they are working hard to continue to provide medical care to thousands of patients who are in great need.
