ARMAC is proud to announce that Harmony Griffin, our Customer Service Manager received “The Eagle Award” from the North Carolina National Guard for her work on the National Guard Boot Campaign. The Boot Campaign supports troops and their families that have financial hardships during active duty. Harmony was quick to point out that it was the work of all the employees at ARMAC that made the campaign a success, she was just the conduit to make sure things went smoothly (like most things at ARMAC). Thank you Harmony for all your hard work and most importantly thank you North Carolina National Guard for protecting our freedom.

The North Carolina Petroleum & Convenience Marketers (NCPCM) is a convenience retail association in which ARMAC is an active and supportive member. NCPCM recently boasted a Media Day where members had a meet-and-greet with officers and support staff from the North Carolina National Guard. There was a presentation of the “big check” which represented money NC Convenience Retailers raised through the Boots Campaign for the National Guard. This program supports troops and their families that have financial hardships during active duty.

ARMAC was praised for its contributions to the Boots Campaign as it is the sole provider of printed boots and supporting marketing materials which go out to participating retailers. Over 40,000 boots have been produced already this year!

At the event the representatives from the National Guard gifted NCPCM with a painting of an actual battle that took place in Iraq. It turned out that one of the officers in attendance was in that battle and he shared his story with the group. It was very moving.

The last thing on the agenda for Media Day was a series of interviews that were videoed and showcased on the NCPCM website and on YouTube. Harmony, ARMAC’s Customer Service Manager, was featured in the showcase. You can check out the videos here:

Most convenience store customers have several locations that they frequent depending on the time of day. Converting your store to their primary destination is a difficult task, but loyalty programs are a great step in that direction. Some stores opt to scan loyalty cards that track customer purchases and offer personalized rewards based on what they buy. Others use less complicated methods such as punch cards to offer incentives for repeat business. Regardless of the type of program your company institutes, ARMAC can provide support to make it a success.

ARMAC offers frequent buyer promotional packages to help increase repeat customers. Whether you choose to focus on your roller grill program, deli or coffee area, we are able to provide everything you need from punch cards to signs promoting the program and the hole puncher that executes it.

If you already have a loyalty card program in place, ARMAC is able to print pump toppers, window signs, wobblers, counter mats and more promoting your unique program and its benefits. Try adding a few signs and watch as your program grows. For more information, please contact us at 1.800.821.7963.

This morning, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake further devastated the already severely damaged infrastructure in Haiti. Last week’s quake had already taken a deadly toll from this island nation. With food, water and medical supplies falling short, ARMAC has made a $1,000 donation to help Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reach more survivors.

MSF has maintained a presence in Haiti for almost 20 years prior to the recent earthquake. They had 3 field hospitals in place, as well as, a network of support for their humanitarian efforts before the quakes hit. Despite damage incurred at their facilities and difficulty receiving supplies, they are working hard to continue to provide medical care to thousands of patients who are in great need. Please visit their website for more information, or to make a financial gift. ARMAC also donated to MSF in 2004, following the Tsunami in Southeast Asia.

We’ve found a couple useful links where you can get more information and will keep you posted as we learn of new developments. As the path of future tobacco advertising becomes clearer, ARMAC will lead the way in creating new promotional signs that comply with changing regulations.
