Give Your Coffee Program a Boost

While the weather outside is still hot, it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming coffee season. Here are a few tips for getting your coffee area in good shape:

Provide an extra dose of caffeine: If you aren’t already offering a knock-your-socks-off caffeinated blend, the fall is a good time to give your customers a jolt. Try a classic French Roast or brew a favorite variety at double-strength. As the days get longer, customers can use a little extra kick to make it through those dark morning hours.

Set your coffee area apart: Make preparing a cup of java a peaceful and relaxing experience for your customers. Designate a counter, island or corner of the store as the coffee destination. Then utilize menu boards, backdrops, brewer wraps and translites to create a unified theme for the area.

Identify your flavors: Make sure it is easy to tell what’s brewing. ARMAC offers a wide variety of satellite ID tags, brewer cards and counter cards for this purpose. Remember, some people have trouble thinking before they get that first cup of coffee in the morning. Take it easy on them!

Promote seasonal favorites and combo deals: Bring in new customers with seasonal promotions like a half-price donut with a coffee purchase or mint hot chocolate in December. Window signs, pump toppers and front door static clings are great vehicles for this type of promotion.

Keep things fresh: From the coffee in the pot to the signs on the wall, freshness counts. Peeling signs and hand printed ID tags don’t convey a positive message about the coffee you are serving.
